Our pods connect to a printer (preferably the HP printers), a computer's keyboard port and to the keyboard. They communicate wirelessly with CalcuScribes and print to parallel port printers but not to the Windows-ONLY or postscript printers.

The PC pod captures files from CalcuScribes while serving them one by one to the PC or the printer. It can hold several files, a total of 64 pages. The Mac pod can print to parallel port printers and to HP DeskWriters. It connects to the iMac with an ADB/USB adapter. It cannot print to ImageWriters or StyleWriters.

1 Bretford cart to store, secure, and transport up to 30 CalcuScribes. Two models are available:

1) Lap 15-GM - non-electrical cart.

2) Lap 15E-GM - electrical cart can recharge 15 laptops at a time. With the Lap 15E-GM, you'll need 30 PowerLinks (NiCad rods w/ AC adapters) - the rods come pre-installed in each CalcuScribe instead of the AA Alkaline batteries.

Alternatively, you may order 90-180 loose NiCad batteries (for 30 machines) and 5 external recharging units (each unit charges 8 batteries at a time) instead of ordering the electrical cart and the 30 NiCad rods.

CalcuScribe Projects and Activities Book by VenturaES For grades 4 - 9. Fun lesson-plans to perform on CalcuScribes. Each chapter has language arts and math activities. Projects build reading, math, vocabulary, problem-solving and keyboarding skills. Lesson-plans use IR technology to beam text from one unit to another for collaborative learning and to provide students with an exciting and stimulating learning experience.
