Our Identity: SmartPad, Inc. d.b.a. CalcuScribe, was founded January 1994. We are committed to increase literacy skills - namely, the reading, writing, math and computer skills.

Our Product: CalcuScribe is our best product ever! It's simple and does not require additional hardware or software to create and then send files to a computer.

Our Experience: We have learned invaluable lessons while marketing to schools, listening to educators along the way, and understanding the limitations of other products.

Our Philosophy: Give students information and tools, empower them for a day; help them build skills, empower them for life! CalcuScribe helps students develop writing, math, thinking, computer and information-related skills.

Our Insight: It makes little sense for schools to buy a computer for each child to teach typing, editing and writing skills when 6-7 CalcuScribes, costing the same as a computer, can perform the same tasks independently. CalcuScribes are portable - they don't require furniture, real-estate, electrical outlets, additional hardware, software or maintenance.

Our Mission: Develop and market products that augment computers but work independently to facilitate teaching and learning and enhance the user's productivity.
