WHAT IS COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY:
CalcuScribe, Inc. warrants the CalcuScribe and the InfraLink (IR) pod to the purchaser, against defects in material or workmanship for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase. We will, at our option, repair a defective product at no cost to you, or replace it with a new or a re-manufactured unit, if the defective unit is returned to us during the warranty period. The new or repaired unit will only carry the remainder term of the warranty. Other accessories are warranted for 1 year from the date of purchase.

WHAT WE DO NOT COVER:
This warranty does not apply if the unit has been altered or serviced by anyone other than a party authorized by us to render such service, or the unit has had an accident, or been subjected to misuse, abuse or operated in a manner contrary to the instructions contained in this manual. The products are not warranted against acts of nature or if the the products break when dropped or accidentally damaged while being transported. The products are not warranted if the batteries leak and cause damage to our products.

RETURNING A UNIT UNDER WARRANTY:
To return a unit or an accessory, under warranty, please contact us. Specify the date of purchase, your name, your institution and the problem with the product. You may contact us by phone, fax, mail, or e-mail. Then ship the unit to us for repair - provide your address and phone number, documentation providing the date of purchase and a description of the problem. If all required repairs are under warranty, we will repair and return the unit within 14 days, from receipt, free of charge.

RETURNING A PRODUCT OUT OF WARRANTY:
To return a unit or accessories that are out of warranty, call us. Ship the unit or accessory to us with a description of the problem. After we ascertain the problem, we will notify you of the repair cost. The fee must be settled before the unit can be repaired and returned to you.

Except to the extent prohibited by law, this shall be the exclusive written warranty to the purchaser and neither this warranty nor any other warranty, express or implied, shall extend beyond the said period. CalcuScribe shall not be liable for loss or damage, direct or consequential, arising out of the use of or inability to use this product. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so that above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state.
